Megabus and Indian Trails Partner to Expand Bus Service
Megabus, one of the largest bus companies in North America, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Indian Trails, Michigan’s first and largest private bus transportation company.
This partnership will allow for expanded service options for 90 cities in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois including trips between Ann Arbor and 20 cities, Detroit and 23 cities, Green Bay and 18 cities, Lansing and 20 cities and Milwaukee and 18 cities.

Ody Norkin of Michigan Flyer sparks massive humanitarian aid effort
As the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine continues to escalate, local groups in Mid-Michigan are stepping up to provide relief efforts. “You can see that the tanks have sent shells directly into civilian homes. So this suggestion, that the Russians are only hitting military targets, is garbage,” said Ody Norkin, with the East Lansing Rotary Club and Greater Lansing Jewish Federation.

Indian Trails Launches New National Bus-Ticketing System, Announces New Detroit-Chicago Daily Service
Today, Indian Trails, Inc.—which operates one of the largest fleets of deluxe motorcoaches in Michigan—launched the new national bus-ticketing system developed by Transcor Data Services (TDS). Called the Multi-Modal Cloud Platform, or MMC for short, the TDS system enables Indian Trails to expand connections with almost 80 independent interlining bus companies nationwide.
SE Michigan transit director says Detroit-Ann Arbor route a success, discusses future expansion plans
Initially launched in March 2020, D2A2 is an express route that runs nonstop from Campus Martius in downtown Detroit to Ann Arbor. The project was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed operations in Oct. 2021. Since then, the number of riders has consistently grown.

SBAM Names Indian Trails a 2022 Energy Champion
The Small Business Association of Michigan recently honored Indian Trails with its 2022 Consumers Energy Energy Champion award. Indian Trails received the award for working with SBAM to complete five different lighting projects in Owosso, Kalamazoo, and Romulus. These upgrades will result in several thousand dollars of energy savings each year.

May 5, 2021—A new smartphone application—the Indian Trails Bus Tracker—is now available for free download by passengers. The app enables passengers to track—in real time—the progress of their daily, scheduled buses along the routes to each bus stop.
AFTER DRIVING 2.5 MILLION MILES FOR INDIAN TRAILS, AL KLINE RETIRES
May 5, 2021—Back in 2014, Philip “Al” Kline achieved a rare feat among the bus drivers at Indian Trails: He reached the two million mile mark as a safe driver, having gone the distance without an avoidable accident. When he retired earlier this year after 45 years of service (including a year-long furlough due to Covid’s impact on the travel industry), Kline had logged a remarkable 2,516,384 miles of driving without an avoidable accident.
Indian Trails to Resume Daily, Scheduled Bus Service Throughout Michigan and Beyond
August 3, 2020—Effective Saturday, August 8, Indian Trails, Inc., will restart most of its daily scheduled bus service, which includes routes throughout Michigan, and into Chicago, Milwaukee and Duluth, along with reduced connections with the Greyhound and Amtrak national transportation networks.

Detroit Connector Bus Expands to Seven-Day, Public Service; Includes Routes to Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Detroit
The Detroit Connector, a University of Michigan bus service connecting the Ann Arbor campus to the city of Detroit, will begin providing service seven days a week, starting Monday, October 30, to U-M faculty, staff, students and—for the first time— the general public. Previously, Detroit Connector service was offered four days a week.
Bus stops will include the Central Campus Transit Center (CCTC) in Ann Arbor, University of Michigan-Dearborn, and University of Michigan Detroit Center.
